Matchables: Accessibility in Every Step

The Origin Story

Matchables wasn't born in a boardroom; it began with a video call. While volunteering for the Be My Eyes app, I was helping a blind user sort their laundry. They asked a simple question: "Can you tell me if these socks match?" As a product designer, I realized the failure wasn't theirs—it was the design's. We rely so heavily on color that we’ve forgotten to design for touch. I searched for a tactile solution to recommend to them, but it didn't exist. So, I went to my sketchbook and designed it myself.

Our Mission

The Tactile Wardrobe

We are starting with socks with a subtle tactile language that lets you pair them instantly without sight. Our goal is to expand this system to other apparels and everyday essentials. We are building a future where your closet speaks your language, and independence is stitched into every seam.

Meet the Designer

Matchables was founded by Jisue Park, a Creative Design Lead at BrandsWalk and an independent product designer with a deep background in branding and Industrial design. I have spent her career bridging the gap between aesthetic excellence and functional efficiency. Matchables is the culmination of that experience—a project born from the belief that great design should be accessible to everyone. By applying professional-grade branding and operational logic to everyday apparel, I am reimagining how we interact with our wardrobes, one tactile marker at a time.
